Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday João (Elder Teixeira), we are proud of you for the wonderful 21 years of a rich and happy life. Hoping your day will be as special as you are.  You are not getting older to us just getting better!  Your best years are still head of you and we want the privilege and blessing of being part of it! As we look back to these last two years that you have been in New York we can because of your service count many blessings, congratulations and again - Happy Birthday!

The Inventor

Gutenberg Museum Johannes Gutenberg was born in Mainz almost exactly 600 hundreds years ago, his life and work is well preserved in the The Gutenberg Museum located  next to the Mainz Cathedral in the heart of the old part of Mainz. It is one of the oldest museums of printing in the world. founded in 1900 by a group of citizens 500 years after Gutenberg's birth. This museum as in display the rare and the most significant work Gutenberg produced; the 42-line Bible printed in 1452. It gives visitors the chance to see two Gutenberg Bibles side by side. The rare collection is gathered in a protected (vault) area of the museum, as we walked the room and looked at several of the first books ever printed by the extraordinary invention of the printing press and moveable type, one can not escape the thought that what happen then shaped the history and influenced every aspect of our lives today.
